Site User Information
A majority of the services provided on the Phone Buddies network require you to submit certain user information. This personal information is necessary in order for the site to create your unique and personalized criteria for using the Phone Buddies network. This information includes your name, address, email address, phone number, etc.. We only collect your information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to fulfill the business objectives of the site. In addition, Phone Buddies may automatically receive and record information on its server logs from your browser including your IP address (see below).

If you are a registered member, we may also use this information to contact you regarding site changes, such as upcoming down-times for site maintenance or new features being added or proposed for the site. Phone Buddies will tightly control the number of contacts that you receive in a given period of time. If you have opted out of newsletter receipt you will only receive critical updates affecting your ability to use the site.

To protect your personal information, we maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided. These include, among other things, limiting access to such data to those employees performing a legitimate business function.

Additionally, you have full control over what information you decide to display in your profile. You may use an alternate first name if you believe your real first name would allow you to be easily identified; you do not have to post photos in your profile or if you do the photos could be of subjects from your life not of you (pets, nature photos, etc.); you may provide whatever background, favorite quote, reasons for being a member or other information you like and are not required to respond to all questions on your profile page; your last name is not shown in your profile, nor is your displayed location more specific than country and state. However, your accurate age is required so that we may ensure all users are 18 or older. We also store your phone number in case we need to reach you or help legal/medical authorities reach you in an emergency situation, but this information will not be provided to other members. Only you will choose when to provide your contact information to other members and only you will do so at any time.

Updating/Editing Personal Profile Information
Phone Buddies allows members to update or edit personal information at any time. To do so, simply log into your account with your username and password and update/edit the information you have submitted. The information you delete on-line will be immediately removed from our database. The only information in your profile you cannot change after registration is your profile name. If you ever experience problems with changing your information on-line, please contact us using the contact information provided in the members area.

General Information Disclosure
Except as described in this privacy policy, we do not disclose information about your individual activities on Phone Buddies, or personal information that you provide, to any outside parties, except when we believe it is required by law or to protect Phone Buddies, our users or others.

We may periodically employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples may include hosting our web servers, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance and processing credit card payments. These other companies will have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions, but they may not share that information with any third party and we require all third parties to adhere to Phone Buddies's stated privacy policies.
